Highmark Blue Edge Dental Plan
CONTRACTED GRADUATE AND POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS

Dear Students,

University of Delaware is pleased to offer Contracted Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows, and their dependents a dental insurance plan (Highmark Blue Edge Dental) effective August 15, 2024 (February 1, 2025 for Spring Coverage). You may enroll in this plan on a VOLUNTARY basis; it is not required insurance. Links to the online enrollment form, plan benefit highlights, and a list of network dentists can be found on the left hand side of this page. 

The carrier has changed from Deltal Dental to Highmark. Highmark utilizes the United Concordia network. You do not need to select a primary care dentist. The provider search tool is located on the left-hand side of this page to check your dental provider. Please review the benefit information BEFORE enrolling. The network is Elite Plus.

The cost for the dental insurance for the period of August 15, 2024 through August 14, 2025 is:

Students who wish to enroll themselves and their dependents on this plan MUST submit the online enrollment form and pay the full premium amount online via credit card no later than midnight on the posted deadline for their selected coverage period. The enrollment deadline for coverage effective August 15, 2024 through August 14, 2025 is on October 15, 2024.

Enrollments are not accepted after the deadline, eligible students may enroll for Spring 2025 coverage effective February 1, 2025 through August 14, 2025 when the form open in mid-December 2024. The deadline for Spring 2025 coverage will be on February 28, 2025.

ID CARDS: Members of this plan will receive an ID Card to the address provided on the form. Access is also available to you plan ID Card online or through the Highmark mobile app. Links are loced on the left
